Swipe from top down for quick access to flashlight, camera, Bluetooth, volume and I.C.E. This watch is very easy to use and navigate. Nevertheless the children enjoy using it and they have not complained about it. With the photo filters, they will be able to add cool designs to them! Both of them love using this to create funny pictures of themselves! I was quite disappointed that there is no improvement on the quality of the camera. It comes with a front facing camera, so that your children can take their own selfies and share pictures of themselves. The on-board speaker allows them to make a hands-free call. My children was able to phone my mobile phone when the watch is paired with my phone.

Note though that you can only receive messages when both devices’ Bluetooth is on and connected, and you are not connected to any other device.

Once you download the app, you can receive or send messages through text, photos, emoji’s, drawings and voice. Unfortunately, this will not work for iPhone.

The Kurio Messaging app is free to download on Google Play on any version after Android 4.0. We have even connected their watches with our Android phones. We had no problems getting both devices to link up. If you have two Kurio watches, you can connect them using the built-in Bluetooth technology to play games and message! The two games that allow multi-players are Tic Tac Toe and Battleship. The only difference between the new and old watch is that the new watch have updated the colour displays on some of the apps and games. The motion sensor feature enables children to play the games simply by using their wrist movements. These are: Snake, Tic Tac Toe, Air Music, Battleship, Motion Maze, Motion Sport, Voice Changer, Translator, Photo Retouch, Drawing, Activity Tracker, Alarm Clock, Timer, Calendar, Calculator, Reminder and Contact List. There is not much difference between the original watch and Kurio Watch 2.0 in their preloaded apps and games, of which there are 20. They are also able to customize their watch by choosing from 8 display themes and 12 watch face themes (both digital and analogue displays available) or they can even use their photo as display background. So I just skipped this part and will add it at a later date.

I didn’t set up the In Case of Emergency (I.C.E.) info as I don’t know my children’s blood type and luckily they don’t have any allergies. When you first turn it on, you need to input your child’s name, DOB, date & time setting and I.C.E. Both of them managed it without my help except for some information. So if you are buying one for Christmas, you might want to charge it first before wrapping it up! Also this does not comes with a charger, so you would need to charge it via a laptop or USB plug. For the first initial use, they recommend a 3 hour charge. In the box, it also comes with one short micro USB cable and instructions.

Another couple of great things about this smartwatch is that it is splash proof and has a scratch resistant screen! You know how careless children are! These features gives you piece of mind! They are very flexible, smooth and most importantly, they are comfortable to wear. Both of them love the thermal straps and love to watch the colours changes! The straps are made from a silicon material. The Pink strap set comes with a Purple thermal strap that changes to a blue colour whilst the Blue strap set comes with a Red thermal strap that changes to an orange colour. We have received two different sets of watches for Ms C and Mr K. This smartwatch range comes with four different colour Watch Bands, two of which change colour through body heat, available to help make each watch unique to the user. It has a micro SD card slot giving users the option to add up to 32 GB of memory. It features a customisable interface, 256 MB of internal memory, a camera, new photo filters, video recorder and Bluetooth® 3.0 connectivity. Children can now enjoy this innovative product in a multitude of ways including gaming, education and social communication through the multifunctional touchscreen. Kurio Watch 2.0 is an updated version of the original Kurio Watch for children and is suitable for aged six and above.
